One other very important area of our work is with education. Performing Arts and Music are now very popular study subjects, and Paul Johnson, as well as being a qualified teacher, has also been heavily involved with Edexcel, the examination board who run BTEC and A Level qualifications. He was involved with the development of the first A Level Music Technology qualification, ending up as Principal Examiner for the subject. He now works with BTEC qualifications as a unit writer and assessment associate, as a verifier in schools and colleges.
Some of our work involves providing equipment and crew to venues with no permanent facilities or staff, while at others we provide personnel only. Happily, the majority of our business consists of a little of both.

During 1994, we ran our first summer season of light entertainment, providing technical services for a variety of entertainers popular at that time - Little & Large, Jim Davidson, Jimmy Cricket, Dave Lee, the Baron Knights, and a full complement of singers and dancers. These kind of shows continued for many years. In 2004, we expanded again, becoming involved with professional pantomime production management.
Our origins were with the supply and hire of radio microphone systems for theatre, hence our name - we still supply this type of equipment, but mainly as part of larger complete systems for use in theatre. Gradually, we started to get involved with all aspects of the performing arts, although most of work is with what used to be called ‘Light Entertainment’.
We are a small business, specialising in all aspects of sound, lighting and video production. Much of our work has an educational link, providing training and consultancy services for schools and colleges.
Comedy, music and all manner of light entertainment is our forte. We have put our microphones on symphony orchestras and sinks!
We have lit comedians and churches alongside Shakespeare and Stanislavsky
Our cameras have recorded tribute bands and traction engines.

We’re comfortable with working at height - pretty important when some of our work takes us to interesting places - aircraft, parachuting, skiing and radio link systems
